Behind the Reflection
Foodie Reflections is dedicated to the exploration of all things culinary: food culture, unique ingredients, restaurants, recipes, menus, cooking techniques, wine, and the list goes on and on. The point is to experiment, discuss and learn as much as possible about food, one of the few things all beings have in common.
Jaclyn Kolber is a food writer, recipe developer/tester, food stylist and personal chef. I discovered my passion for food while living in Italy during a college semester abroad. It was there I took my first cooking class – more oil on everything! – and experienced the pure joy of the local markets. Since returning to the U.S., I’ve completely turned my life around, leaving my career in public relations for the unpredictable culinary world. I enjoy experiencing unique flavors, exploring new ingredients, and sharing wonderful meals with family and friends.

Dan Nielsen is the technical whiz kid, web designer and overall cool guy. He is married to Anna, a culinary school-dropout. Despite this sad title, Anna remains a foodie at heart.
